In early September, Tropical Storm Hermine came ashore in S. Texas. It seemed to be a minor storm with no one giving it much thought. However, it turned out to be quite a rain soaker. It rained...and rained...and rained. We got about 8 inches of rain in the Flower Mound area. There is a creek near our home, Timber Creek, that had extensive flooding. It was a little too close for comfort as it came far out of its banks. Here are some pictures.
