Last year Jake broke his nose at cub scout day camp. This year he didn't get injured at camp, but did get injured the week of camp. He hyper-extended his elbow at a park on a Wednesday night during the week of camp. The next morning he was having trouble moving it and was in a lot of pain. We kept him home from camp and took him to the doctor to have it x-rayed. There wasn't an obvious break, but there was an "area of concern" near the elbow. They put a fiberglass splint on it and recommended that we follow up in a week.He wore the splint for about 3 days and was complaining about the splint saying his arm felt great. We watched it carefully for a couple of days and felt like it was okay, probably just a bruised bone or a strain.

Maybe you should put him in a bubble when the week of camp rolls around.
