Injury Report

Last year Jake broke his nose at cub scout day camp. This year he didn't get injured at camp, but did get injured the week of camp. He hyper-extended his elbow at a park on a Wednesday night during the week of camp. The next morning he was having trouble moving it and was in a lot of pain. We kept him home from camp and took him to the doctor to have it x-rayed. There wasn't an obvious break, but there was an "area of concern" near the elbow. They put a fiberglass splint on it and recommended that we follow up in a week.

He wore the splint for about 3 days and was complaining about the splint saying his arm felt great. We watched it carefully for a couple of days and felt like it was okay, probably just a bruised bone or a strain.

Maybe you should put him in a bubble when the week of camp rolls around.
